Captured Portraits of Crime, 1870-1930

Captured Portraits of Crime is a njew exhibition produced by State
Archives and Records NSW that explores the stories of men, women and children who were incarcerated in NSW gaols from 1870-1930.

The exhibition engages with photographic portraits and descriptions of prisoners sourced from the State Archives collection of Gaol Photographic Description Books.

Capured Portraits of Crime is a free exhibition at the Western Sydney Records Centre from 8 September 2017 to 28 April 2018.  It will also tour as a 'pop up' exhibition to regional areas.
